It's a Girl!

I promised I would add more to the last post, so here goes. David and I went to our first ultrasound and found out we were having a girl! We are super excited, either way we would have been. The point of an ultrasound is to check the baby's growth and general health. We were just excited to see her for the first time. The ultrasound tech was concerned with something she saw and shared it with the doctor we were seeing that day. To make a long story short, after being scared to death by one doctor, we spoke with our favorite doctor at our ob/gyn office, then a high-risk doctor, had another test and a level 2 ultrasound. Our baby's test results came back and she is going to be healthy! Praise God. So many of our friends and family were praying for us and we cannot say how much that meant to us.

In the last week or two I have felt her move more and more each day. What an amazing feeling. David was able to feel her move, as well. We cannot be more excited about our baby girl, Asher. This is nothing more than a blessing from God.

Christmas

David, me, my parents and Matthew headed to Virginia Beach on Christmas day. That evening we went to the boardwalk to see the lights and enjoyed a beautiful white Christmas!
Since we were pretty much snowed with a whooping 13+ inches, we played in the snow. Matthew and David (cousin) decided to make an igloo. How cool is that?!
We had a wonderful time, but missed Lindsey!!

"Date Night"

David and I went to the Rudy Theater in Selma to see the American Music Jubilee Christmas program. It was great to see such talent in North Carolina! We had a great time!!

Halloween

David and I decided to go to the Prom, from the 1980's for Halloween. I went shopping at the local Good Will and Salvation Army stores and found our fantastic outfits. My electric blue dress was a whopping $5 and David's mis-matched suit was less than $10. I piled on the make-up and teased my hair and David bought a mullet wig and we were set. We had such a good time with the trick-or-treaters! My parents came over to visit and they started laughing even before they came in (Mom saw us through the window).

I am sorry I did not post this right away but we have been quite busy. We had a fabulous honeymoon! Then I went with David on a business trip to Delaware. I shopped while he was in a meeting, what fun! Now it's back to reality, real life. And I could not be more thrilled. Reality, the real world as a married couple have been great! We are so happy!

Thank you all for everything you did for us!! We are so blessed.
